The team hopes to develop a sustainability fund.  The thought is to create a “Friends of Wazeecha” Fund or something similar.  We understand there will be ongoing maintenance costs associated with the fitness equipment, signage, etc.  We also want to make sure there are funds available for potential snowplowing on several areas of the trail in the winter as well as trail improvements moving forward.  

We are working with Wood County Park and Forestry Department to add ongoing maintenance of the walking path, including snow removal, into their existing maintenance schedules.  But this isn't always easy given tight budget cycles, demand for dollars on other projects, and limited staff to perform such duties.  

We are actively looking for individuals to help form this sustainability fund.  If you are interested, please let us know.
